Cooking Chicken


I have been trying to find something on how to cook chickens of different ages.  Backyard Poultry magazine had a great article on the subject.  Follow the link for more information, but here is a quick overview.

8-12 weeks:  Broil, roast or fry
14-20 weeks:  Roast or fry
5-10 month old cockerel:  Roast or fry
4-9 month old pullet:  Roast, fry or braise
1 year or older:  Soup
